I want to give you folks a heads up on what is going on with me. There’s a writing conference I’m attending in the end of January. At this conference, I have an appointment with an agent. This is good news and I’m excited for it, but what it means is that I have tasksContinue reading “Books for the Writer in Me”
I finished! I made it to 50,017 words. I’m so excited and relieved. It was a wonderful experience, but like most things you learn from it hurt a little. My brain is mush. It’s like my brain was putty, then it was left out in the sun and it shriveled and is no longer useable.
I’m ending tonight at 48,043 words. I’m so excited to make my word count tomorrow and even more excited not to have one on Dec. 1st. I feel very successful and very rung out. “Hang me out to dry, you’ve rung me out to to too many times.” -Cold War Kids
I’ve written 41,191 words on my novel. I’m coming to the end! I realized a continuity issue yesterday that I plan on fixing today. It’s good stuff.
I have 33,006 words written as of today. I feel like I’m at the end of a marathon that I’ve been sprinting through and I didn’t save any energy for the end. I’ll finish but this is the struggle.
The novel is coming along great. I’m all done with the first act and almost done with the second act. I’m not writing linear, but I’m not jumping around that much. I finished yesterday at 17,853 words. I’m trying to gain ground, it’s looking more possible to end the story in 32,147 words than it didContinue reading “NaNoWriMo Update “
My husband and I saw Spectre and heard our baby’s heartbeat. All I have to do now is get my word count in and I’ll be all set.
I’m learning so much from this process. I usually write linear, but with the whole sprint writing of it all, I don’t let myself stare at the screen. If I get stuck I move to another scene. I’m finding it to be useful in story development as well as word count. I also don’t pauseContinue reading “NaNoWriMo Update”
Last night I ended at 9057 words. I feel so excited. As someone who has never paid attention to word count before, this is a great learning experience. I’m not writing linearly, which is not super common for me, but the story is coming together. Making 50,000 words by the 30th of November, seems veryContinue reading “NaNoWriMo Update”
I finished yesterday at 5086 words. I wrote about 300 words this morning before work. I’ve been sick, so I’m hoping to have energy to write on my lunch. But I might end up taking a nap. I know there are some haters out there for NaNoWriMo, but I’m really enjoying this. I love whatContinue reading “NaNoWriMo Update “
